THE Choma Magistrates’ Court has sentenced a 33-year-old Monze businessman to 12 months imprisonment with hard labour for misleading Anti-Corruption Commission officers after he told them his brother’s name, claiming it was his. In a statement, Thursday, ACC spokesperson Queen Chibwe stated that Mayambu Chilala was initially arrested for impersonating a police officer but the commission later discovered that the accused lied during an interview that his name was Webster Chilala, when it was in fact his brother’s name.
