SOCIALIST Party leader Dr Fred M’membe yesterday appeared before Lusaka Principal Magistrate in relation to a case in which he was charged with the offence of communication of certain information. Magistrate Munyinya, however, told Dr M’membe that she had no jurisdiction to allocate his matter in the absence of a charge sheet. But the Socialist Party leader has wondered why he was arrested if the state is not ready to prosecute his case. Meanwhile, Dr M’membe has described the matter in which Attorney General Mulilo Kabesha has agreed to pay President Hakainde Hichilema’s treason co-accused K6.4 million each for unlawful prosecution as organised looting of public resources.
