THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has referred the matter in which Socialist Party leader Dr Fred M’membe is charged with communication of certain information to the Lusaka High Court for trial. This follows an application by the defence in which they asked Lusaka Magistrate Ireen Wishimanga to refer the case to the High Court, on grounds that the subordinate court had no jurisdiction to hear the matter. Dr M’membe is charged with one count of communication of certain Information.
