A 27-YEAR-OLD man from Lusaka’s Kabangwe area has been found guilty and sentenced to 30 months imprisonment with hard labour for breaking into and stealing various items from a New Apostolic Church. Magistrate George Njobvu expressed astonishment at the audacity of stealing from a place of worship, stating, “He had the courage to steal from the house of the Lord!” The defendant, Klacious Mwape, was charged with one count of breaking into a building and committing a felony therein, as per Section 303 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
