KABWE High Court Judge Kelvin Limbani has reserved his ruling on Nickson Chilangwa and others’ bail application pending appeal to September 20, 2024. Meanwhile, Judge Limbani has reserved his ruling on Ronald Chitotela and another’s application to have their conviction for arson reviewed to October 2024. In April this year, the Kawambwa Magistrates Court convicted and sentenced Kawambwa PF MP Nickson Chilangwa to 60 months’ imprisonment for malicious damage to property, while Pambashe PF MP Ronald Chitotela was convicted for arson. Chitotela, Chilangwa and five others were jointly charged for arson, threatening violence, malicious damage to property and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, offences allegedly committed in August 2021.
