A STATE witness has told the Economic and Financial Crimes Court that the two helicopters allegedly belonging to former Foreign Affairs minister Joseph Malanji are not registered in his name. Kwaleyela Mukelabai, Director of the Anti-Money Laundering Unit at the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC), informed the court that one of the helicopters is still registered under the National Airways Corporation. This is in a matter where former secretary to the treasury Fredson Yamba is jointly charged with Malanji.
