A JAPANESE national has narrated how former Kasama PF MP Kelvin Sampa allegedly offered to safeguard his US$80,000 while he waited to buy gold from a seller organised by Sampa. Satoshi Sakamoto has lamented that he has not received his money back to date. Testifying before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Sakamoto said he trusted Sampa to the extent of giving him the US$80,000 after being invited to Zambia to purchase gold because he was told the former lawmaker was President Hakainde Hichilema’s right-hand man.
