FORMER secretary to the treasury Fredson Yamba has told the Economic and Financial Crimes Court that in 2021, he approved the disbursement of K45,800,000, which was later used for the procurement of real estate in Turkey. This is in a matter where Yamba is charged with two counts of willful failure to comply with the law, while Joseph Malanji, who is former foreign affairs minister, is charged with three counts of possession of property reasonably suspected of being proceeds of crime.
