THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has convicted and fined a 21-year-old man of Kitwe’s Buchi compound and a 25-year-old chef of Mtendere compound K10,000 each for insulting on a fake ZNBC Facebook page. Lusaka Resident Magistrate Constance Kansankala has also fined a 23-year-old medical student of Mtendere compound K2,400 for the same offence. In this matter, Alick Sakala, Chimango Luhanga and Samuel Mwene were facing four counts of use of insulting language, sedition and identity-related crimes. In count one, Sakala was charged with use of insulting language, Contrary to Section 179 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
