THE Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) has asked the Constitutional Court to join it to the proceedings in a matter in which Matero PF MP Miles Sampa is challenging the Mopani deal as amicus curiae. Amicus Curiae (Latin for “friend of the court”) refers to a person or organisation that is not a party to a case but offers legal expertise, information, or advice to assist the court in making a decision.
