There was a sigh of relief from Nkana on Saturday after the 12-time champions beat Napsa Stars 2-0 at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka to end their two-match winless start to the 2017 campaign.
Goals from Austin Muwowo and Shadreck Musonda gave coach Zeddy Saileti his first league win in charge.
Muwowo struck first in 55th minute the before Musonda sealed the win deep in stoppage time.
Nkana had picked up just one point from their opening two games to put the early pressure on new coach Zeddy Saileti.
Furthermore, the victory comes a massive relief for the team ahead of the big Copperbelt derby against Zesco United next Sunday at home in Kitwe.
Meanwhile, the result dispatched Napsa to their second successive league loss after losing 1-0 away to Power Dynamos in Kitwe on April 16.
