Coach Mumamba Numba has named his 18-member Zanaco team to battle Egyptian giants Al Ahly this weekend in the two sides opening 2017 CAF Champions League Group D match.
Zanaco visit Al Ahly this Saturday in Cairo in what will be the Zambian clubs debut meeting against the record 8-time African champions.
Numba has made two changes from the team dropping defender Langson Kapumbu and midfielder Diddy Kitambo who were part last weekend’s 4-1 home win over Nakambala Leopards on May 7 .
Defenders Zimiseleni Moyo and Lee Ngoma, who both missed that match, have made the travelling party.
Also in the team is striker Felix Nyaede who is set for his Champions League debut for Zanaco following his recent move from Forest Rangers.
This will be Zanaco’s first time in in the group stage of the Champions League after making their debut at the same stage of the 2010 CAF Confederation Cup.
Zanaco depart for Cairo on Wednesday via Ethiopia.
