Nkwazi on Saturday flew over Power Dynamos after snatching a maximum 3 points from the 2-1 victory that restored the police-side’s glory, recovering from two consecutive losses at the hands of Red Arrows and Nakambala Leorpards.
Power showed dominance in the first half, piercing the Nkwazi net in the 23rd minute. But a prolific Lottie Nyimbili converted from the spot to level the score line.
Tables completely turned in the second half as Eric Chomba made it double for the police side in the 68th minute.
Power tried to retaliate but all efforts went begging as the game ended 2-1, leaving Nkwazi coach Chris Kaunda happy with the result.
“We go in every game with a different approach and we train differently for each team that we are to play against. We made chances and utilized them hence the good result we collected. We beat Power at home so it is not unlikely we repeated the trend this time with more goals, 2-1,” said Kaunda.
The coach further said he was looking forward to playing his next game against Nchanga Rangers. Nkwazi is number 9 on league standing with 40 points, same points with Buildcon who are better on aggregate.
