UNDER-17 women’s national team coach Carol Kanyemba has urged her players to emulate the 2014 U17 crop of players by qualifying for the 2024 U17 FIFA World Cup set for the Dominican Republic. Kanyemba’s girls play Uganda on May 12, in the first leg of the third round of World Cup qualifiers after eliminating Tanzania 5-1 in the second round. The winner after the third round will face either Morocco or Algeria in the fourth round for one of the three available African spots at the World Cup.
