NKANA has secured its stay in the top flight after edging Kansanshi Dynamos 1-0 the Nkana Stadium yesterday. The 13-time champions have struggled throughout the season, spending the majority of the campaign in the relegation zone. However, an 88th-minute goal from Eric Yema gave the Kitwe giants enough points to avoid relation this campaign, pushing the team to eighth position on the league table with 42 points, and seven points above the drop line. The defeat pushed Kansanshi to 17th on the table with 32 points, five points away from safety.
