IMAGINE Zambia’s Arts industry being able to produce films that pull large crowds like those seen in South Africa or the U.S during comedy night editions featuring Trevor Noah, or Kat Williams. At least, that’s the vision that the UPND government has for the arts and film industry. To actualise this vision, Ministry of Youth, Sports and Arts Permanent Secretary Chama Fumba recently disclosed that the government has set aside K10 million for the construction of a National Arts Centre in a bid to improve film production in the industry.
