Held at Lusaka’s Showgrounds Polo Fields last Saturday, the Danny Kaya Music festival was set to begin at 19:00, but getting into the venue was tedious due to the sheer volume of fans trying to get their groove on. At one point, I found myself stuck in one spot for over 20 minutes, a situation shared by many others around me but we were determined to get to our destination, it was clear that the tickets were truly sold-out. Once inside the Showgrounds, the atmosphere was electric, with the crowd singing along to every song performed on stage.
