Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Mwila has congratulated South African President Jacob Zuma for surviving another vote of no confidence in Parliament.
In a statement by PF Media Director Sunday Chanda today, Mwila noted that ANC was South Africa’s majority Party which opposition parties were trying so hard to succeed.
“On behalf of Zambia’s ruling Party, the Patriotic Front, I wish to congratulate the African National Congress (ANC) for winning the vote of Confidence of the South African Parliament. PF, as a sister party in the region and proud of the historical ties between our two countries, politically, socially, economically and otherwise, knows the amount of pressure driven by commercial interests aimed at derailing the South Africa’s liberation movement,” said Mwila.
“Fortunately, on 8th August 2017, the ANC Members of Parliament performed their sovereign duty to affirm what the majority of South Africans have continued to reaffirm. It is not in doubt that the ANC is South Africa’s majority Party which elected a majority President who minority parties seek to remove and superimpose.”
Mwila also said the PF was happy to receive President Zuma graced the 91st Agriculture and Commercial show and looked forward to deepening cooperation with his country.
