Police Spokesperson Esther Mwaata Katongo says police have decided to discontinue a case against United Progressive People president Saviour Chishimba.

In an interview with News Diggers!, Katongo said Saviour had since been released from Woodlands Police Station where he was being held.

“Yes, we have released him, we have decided to discontinue the case,” said Katongo.

Saviour was arrested on Thursday last week and charged with Defamation of the President over some words he used at his last press briefing.
