PF Copperbelt youth secretary Christopher Kalenge and his vice youth chairman Stanley Chandindi have resigned from their positions.
Kalenge and Chandindi have told News Diggers! in an interview that they could not remain part of a leadership that is full of bickering and hatred.
“Yes my brother I have resigned from my position as youth secretary for the PF on the Copperbelt. I just want to remain a loyal PF member,” said Kalenge.
“You know very well that I have supported honourable Kalaba and the PF party. I will continue to be a true and loyal member of the PF. We have a duty. But I could not continue in my position. I feel if I remain in the position I will not contribute because I have been persecuted very much in the PF with my position. I will not get any favour from the PF on the Copperbelt, so better I remain an ordinary member.”
And Chandindi said he couldn’t handle the hate that was in PF.
“The levels of hate in PF on the Copperbelt are so high. I can not stand that. That is why I have resigned. I will remain a loyal member of PF,” said Chandindi.
The resignation of the two provincial leaders came barely two weeks after Kitwe district PF information and publicity secretary Gift Kalumba also resigned.
