TRANSPARENCY International Zambia (TI-Z) says it has noted with concern the conflict of interest in the awarding of the First Quantum Minerals US$1.3 billion expansion investment evaluation consultancy to Professor Oliver Saasa’s consultancy firm, Premier Consult. TI-Z Chapter President Sampa Kalungu says TI-Z’s concern stems from the fact that Prof Saasa serves as chairperson for the Economic Advisory Council, a council that provides advice to the President on economic matters.
