FINANCIAL Intelligence Centre (FIC) acting director general Liya Tembo says the centre is looking forward to having a board in place, hopefully before the end of 2022. Tembo says although the centre is able to operate with or without a board, certain decisions can’t be made in its absence, such as those to do with staff welfare. President Hakainde Hichilema dissolved the Boards of Directors for the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) on December 8, 2021. But a year later, the board has still not been reconstituted.
