FORMER national guidance and religious affairs minister Godfridah Sumaili says government should declare the current high cost of living as a national emergency because there’s hunger in the country. On Friday, President Hakainde Hichilema said government’s decision to increase the maize price would hurt a little, but mealie meal prices would stabilise in a sustainable way as production increased.
