GOVERNMENT has removed Chief Registrar of Societies Thandiwe Mhende after it emerged that she did not effect changes to the Patriotic Front office bearers following Miles Sampa’s disputed convention last month. According to a printout emanating from her office, PF office bearers have remained unchanged, with Edgar Lungu still appearing as party president and Davies Mwila as Secretary General. Sampa with a group of his supporters held a convention on October 24, 2023, where he was voted party president, before he appointed Morgan Ng’ona as party secretary general, much to the annoyance of the Given Lubinda-led faction.
