THE Afrobarometer, a pan-African, non-partisan survey has revealed that China’s perceived influence on Zambia’s economy has declined over the past eight years. Survey findings further show that since the UPND government came into power two years ago, presidential references to China as an important friend have declined as well as a number of prominent Chinese-supported ventures or developments.
