THE Human Rights Commission (HRC) says it has observed a worrying trend where the police have either stopped or disrupted the opposition political parties from exercising their democratic rights to freedom of association and assembly. The Commission has since called on government to take practical steps to immediately stop the systematic erosion of human rights perpetuated by the police.
