I FORESEE electoral violence erupting in 2026 if we do not aggressively act and build up on the recommendations made by stakeholders after the last general elections, says former ECZ chief electoral officer Patrick Nshindano. Nshindano argues that there could be an illusion of peace currently because the electoral cycle has not yet matured. Meanwhile, Nshindano says for democracy to grow, opposition political parties should be allowed to sell themselves as it helped citizens connect with and choose their leaders.
