THE Zambia Statistics Agency (ZAMSTATS) 2022 living conditions monitoring survey report has revealed that the largest proportion of households in Zambia own a mattress, at 74.4 percent followed by those owning a brazier at 62.1 percent. The report further revealed 88.1 percent of households in rural areas owned a hoe while 93.2 percent of households in urban areas owned a mattress. “Ownership of assets is another useful measure when considering changes in household welfare.
