VICE-President Mutale Nalumango says Zambia will receive normal to above normal rainfall this season. Speaking during the commemoration of the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, Monday, Vice-President Nalumango said the country was expected to experience floods due to the expected La Nina conditions which would cause destruction. “Our country is susceptible to climate-related shocks, which are relentlessly increasing in frequency, intensity and scale. These shocks occur concurrently and hardly a year passes without experiencing a devastating incident. From the devastating drought experienced in the 2023/2024 rainfall season, the forecast for this coming season indicates that the country will receive normal to above normal rainfall.
