PAMBASHE PF MP Ronald Chitotela’s lawyer, Boniface Chiwala, says his client has not been sentenced because the judge scheduled to sentence him has a full court diary. In July this year, the Kawambwa Magistrates’ Court convicted and sentenced Kawambwa PF MP Nickson Chilangwa to 60 months imprisonment for malicious damage to property, while Chitotela was convicted for arson and is awaiting sentencing by the High Court. Chitotela, Chilangwa and five others were jointly charged with arson, threatening violence, malicious damage to property and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, offences allegedly committed in August 2021.
