DMMU National Coordinator Dr Gabriel Pollen says government is proactive in addressing flooding in the country. Disclosing what the government was doing to reduce the impact of floods, Wednesday, Dr Pollen said government had initiatives to ensure it put drainage infrastructure in urban areas such as Lusaka to minimise flooding. “We are being proactive, the impact of flood is different depending on obviously the nature of the place the flood happened, so floods affect infrastructure such as schools, buildings, and crossing points.
