JUSTICE Minister Princess Kasune has refuted Jean Kapata’s claims that the Judiciary is not independent, arguing that the new dawn government is actually observing the principle of separation of powers. Kapata, who is former lands and natural resources minister, recently lamented that the Judiciary is not independent, after losing the Mukula smuggling case in the High Court. She, however, said “we’ll appeal, we’ll try another judge”.
