MINISTRY of Health Permanent Secretary for Technical Services Dr Kennedy Lishimpi has refuted claims that the government neglected former Finance Minister and opposition FDD leader Edith Nawakwi, leading to her death. According to correspondence seen by News Diggers, a Ministry of Health ADHOC committee under minute number 469 initiated the process for Nawakwi’s evacuation on March 26, 2025, following a directive by President Hakainde Hichilema.
