POLICE have detained a Choma man for killing a dog and preparing its meat for cooking. It is alleged that Davison Mudenda, aged 22, slaughtered the dog at around 10:00 hours on Wednesday in Mwapona residential area and attempted to eat its meat. Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Auxensio Daka said Ivy Mudenda, 48, Davison’s mother, alerted Choma Police of the incident at around 11:00 hours. “Choma Police Station received a report from Ivy Mudenda, aged 48, of Mwapona Compound in Choma, in which she stated that her son, Davison Mudenda, aged 22, of the same address, had slaughtered his dog and claimed that he intended to cook and eat the dog meat.
