WATER Development and Sanitation Minister Collins Nzovu says there has been a notable rise in water levels at various points along the Zambezi and Kafue Rivers. Nzovu notes that recent data from WARMA’s nationwide network of over 169 Surface Water Monitoring Stations indicates a promising improvement in river flows compared to the same period last year. However, the Minister says despite these encouraging flow increases, Lake Kariba’s usable water storage currently stands at 10.98 percent, down from 13.95 percent recorded at the same time in 2024.
