MUNALI Nickel Mine in Chikankata District has reportedly been shut down. In an interview with ZANIS, the Spokesperson for Chief Naluama of the Tonga-speaking people of Chikankata said he wasn’t aware of the actual reasons for the mine’s closure but lamented, that “the mine is what we rely upon in this area”.
