NGOCC Executive Director Anne Anamela has welcomed the deferment of the Non-Governmental Organisation Bill, stating that this will allow for further discussions around some of the concerns raised earlier. Speaking in the National Assembly, Thursday, Acting Minister of Community Development and Social Services Jack Mwiimbu requested that the Bill be deferred to a later date to allow for further consultations, a request granted by Speaker Nelly Mutti. In an interview, Saturday, Anamela said she would have preferred the Bill to be withdrawn completely.
