SENIOR Headman Shikatende of Shibuyunji District says he stopped practicing family planning because he wanted to have many children who could vote for a government that would finally construct the long-awaited Blue Lagoon Road. The Headman was speaking during the recent groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of the road project. The works will involve upgrading approximately 98 km of the road to a bituminous standard, from Farmers Junction Turnoff on Mumbwa Road to Muchabi Secondary and Primary Schools, and 7 km into the Blue Lagoon National Park.
