LAST week, The Economic and Financial Crimes Court convicted and sentenced former Development Bank of Zambia (DBZ) managing director Dr Samuel Bwalya to 15 months imprisonment with hard labour for abuse of office. According to Magistrate Faides Hamaundu, there was sufficient proof that Dr Bwalya spent public resources from the bank on his children’s education when he was not entitled to such allowances.
