IN a time when Zambia faces serious challenges, it is disheartening to see so many citizens choose to engage in baseless gossip rather than focusing on the critical issues affecting the country. When we look at the recent social media report targeting State House advisor Chipo Mwanawasa, accusing her of being pregnant for President Hakainde Hichilema, we find the development shameful and deeply troubling. The spread of such unsubstantiated rumours reflects poorly on our national discourse.
