ATTORNEY General State Counsel Mulilo Kabesha is right when he says the Zambian Constitution does not mandate a sitting President to make continuous asset declarations beyond the election cycle. It is also true that in 2021 President Hichilema fully complied with the legal requirements to declare his assets and liabilities, as stipulated in Article 100 (1) (h) of the Constitution. We agree totally with the Attorney General that the President is not in any breach of the law.
