PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has acknowledged that there is a problem with Chinese investors in our mining industry, but surprisingly, his pronouncement on the Sino-metals mine spillage and the general pollution of water bodies seems more apologetic than assertive. In one breath he sounds to be acknowledging that the damage caused by the now infamous spillage has left a long term catastrophe on agriculture, aquatic life and human survival along the banks of the affected rivers. When you read closely you can tell that he understands the mess is so big.
