THE Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) says the aircraft involved in the gold scandal has been released, following a consent judgement signed on April 10, 2024. And the National Prosecution Authority (NPA) has revealed that it recovered US$30,902,855, which is over K777 million, through non-conviction based forfeiture cases, during the last month. NPA adds that the State has recovered US$24 million from former Konkola Copper Mines provisional liquidator. According to the consent judgement, it was agreed that DEC shall immediately release the gold scandal aircraft namely Global Express T77WSS Jet, to the owner, World Aviation Sinai International Mountains Limited, and Ibis Air, the management company of the jet.
