Police in Chililabombwe have arrested an 18-year-old man after he was caught having sex with a sheep.

Copperbelt Police Commissioner Charity Katanga confirmed this in an interview, Wednesday.

Katanga identified the suspect as Rob Kavula of Kawama Township in Chililabombwe.

He was reported by a businessman of Kasumbalesa, dealing with livestock, who left his female sheep grazing in an open ground when he went to the barber shop.

Katanga said when the man returned, he found the suspect “enjoying” the animal.

“The animal was checked and found that blood was coming out from its vagina. This occurred yesterday (Monday) at the grazing ground around 14:40 hours. The suspect is in custody while the animal will be taken to the veterinary to be checked,” said Katanga.

She said the suspect had since appeared in the Magistrates’ court.
