FORMER Kasenengwa PF member of parliament Sensio Banda says the recent Kwacha appreciation is unsustainable. According to the money market on the Bank of Zambia website as at 12:30 hours, Wednesday, the Kwacha was buying at 17.5131 and selling at 17.5631. In a Facebook post, Wednesday, Banda said despite not being privy to the details regarding the positive trend, the appreciation of the Kwacha was unsustainable because it was not synchronising with the prevailing economic fundamental trends. “It is important to note that meaningful monetary policy tools must achieve both inflation and growth objectives.
