GOVERNMENT has confirmed the presence of Aflatoxin in maize products such as mealie meal and animal feed. Health Minister Elijah Muchima says aflatoxin exposes human beings to acute liver damage, liver cancer, immune system suppression and other chronic health issues. At the media yesterday, Muchima disclosed that 400 dogs had died in past one month after consuming suspected contaminated animal feed.
