THE Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has increased the price of petrol from K33.67 per litre to K34.67, while maintaining the costs of diesel, kerosene and jet A-I at K32.43, K28.67 and K31.49, respectively. In a statement, Tuesday, ERB Board Chairperson James Banda stated that the international price of petrol had increased by 3.52 percent since the last fuel price review on November 30, 2024, “Since the last fuel price review on 30th November 2024, the international price of petrol increased by 3.52 percent, from US$75.67/bbl to US$78.33/bbl. Meanwhile, the price of diesel reduced by 0.10 percent from US$86.19/bbl to US$86.10/bbl and that of kerosene/jet A-I reduced by 1.39 percent from US$86.89/bbl to US$85.68/bbl.
