THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has sentenced a 23-year-old man to 12 months imprisonment for breaking into his mother’s house and stealing a television set, a phone and a chitenge. In this matter, Adamson Phiri was facing one count of burglary and theft. Particulars of the offence alleged that Phiri on November 6, 2021, with intent to steal, did break and enter into a dwelling house of Beatrice Phiri, his mother and stole a television set, a phone and a chitenge material, all valued at K2000.
