THE Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has filed a notice to appeal against the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court’s decision to discharge former housing and infrastructure development minister Ronald Chitotela of two counts of possession of property reasonably suspected to be proceeds of crime. Meanwhile, DPP Lillian Siyunyi has also filed a notice of appeal against Lusaka Magistrate Albert Mwaba’s decision to set aside the warrant of seizure dated April 13, 2022, effected on properties belonging to former Lusaka province minister Bowman Lusambo. The DPP has further filed an application to appeal out of time.
