LUSAKA Chief Resident Magistrate Davies Chibwili has fined Lumezi Independent Member of Parliament Munir Zulu K200 for contempt of court after he failed to appear before him for mention on June 27, 2023. Magistrate Chibwili has also revoked Zulu’s police bond and has ordered one of his sureties, Milenge independent member of parliament Gystave Chonde, to forfeit K100,000 bond amount for failing to avail the accused person before court. This is in the case in which Zulu is accused of issuing defamatory remarks against Finance Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane, his Infrastructure counterpart Charles Milupi and RDA Board Chairperson Mulchand Kuntawala.
